Apple Inc. may be using Organic Light-Emitting Display (OLED) for their iPhone series, from the year 2018, instead of their traditional LED displays.

Apple is said to compete with Samsung and other brands, which are currently using OLED  displays for their smartphones and gadgets.

Apple's exploration into OLED development, has resulted LG to invest heavily in OLED manufacturing and fine-tune their process. As a result, LG has established a manufactoring plant in Gumi, South Korea

Although, still there will be iPhones with LED displays available to the consumers as there is a possibility that OLED won't be available.
